Apartment description
This spacious 4 person apartment, with views on the Montjuic, is located inside a historical symbolic building which will take you back to the time of King Alfonso XIII. This building was formerly used for the universal Exposition of 1929 along with the fair, the fountains, the Parliament building and the Spanish Town. The decoration in this building is absolutely amazing. Thanks to recent renovations the building, it is now in its original state and is really a shining beauty. The apartment itself has got two nice quiet bedrooms, a luxurious dining room with a hammock and with view over the Montjuic, a bar area, a living room, a bathroom with a bathtub and a second bathroom with a hydro massage shower. Inside you will also find plasma TV and DVD player.
When you walk through the front door you enter the bar area, next to the kitchen. Because it is close to the kitchen, this bar is ideal for enjoying your cocktail before your dinner, and is as well a perfect location for having a quick breakfast. Next to the bar area you have the small bathroom and the kitchen.
The kitchen is small but completely equipped, and you are always in direct contact with the bar area. The kitchen is provided with a refrigerator, a freezer, a washing machine, a French/Italian coffeemaker, 4 gas plates, a juicer, a microwave and an electric oven.
On the same side of the apartment you will find the first bathroom. This bathroom is complete with a hydro massage shower, a sink and a toilet.
When entering the living area you notice how it is smartly located between the bar area and at the end the dining room. This room is used as a living room and was formally an exhibition room. Inside you will find out that it is lighted beautifully with some extra attention for the nice painting and decoration on the wall. The room is also provided with two very comfortable sofas, a relaxing chair, well chosen furniture, a big screen plasma TV, a DVD player, a stereo system and a cupboard.
From the living area you have access to both bedrooms. The main bedroom has got a large twin bed, which can be separated from each other. The room has enough room for your luggage and other belongings inside the cupboard which also contains a large mirror. At each side of the bed you will find a little cupboard beside the bed with a small night lamp. The second bedroom consists of two single beds, a telephone, an alarm clock and also a lamp for reading at night. There is enough room to deposit your belongings.
In the back of the apartment you will find the beautiful dining room. Inside there is a wide window with a view over the area and partly Montjuic as well. It is of course provided with a diner table which can take up to 8 persons. This room is cosy and originally decorated with nice furniture and an exclusive relax chair that hangs from the ceiling.
Around the area of the apartment
This apartment is located in the heart of Barcelona, very close to Plaza Espaņa. From here the metro lines 1, 3 and 8 will come together and part their ways. The bus to the airport and other bus lines will stop here as well. These can take you to the Ramblas or the beach in 15 minutes.
In this location you will find all types of shops you need, the famous magic fountains (they dance on music) and also a public parking garage you will find in less than 100 meters. Some other nice attractions are the FIRA (main centre of exhibitions and congresses of Barcelona), the Caixa Forum, the parliament building of Catalonia, the headquarters of the MNAC, the museum of architectural and the Olympic stadium. This area near the Montjuīc is one of the main green belts of Barcelona.
