Apartment description
This is a cosy apartment totally impregnated in the style of the sea. The base colours used are blue and white and the decoration is finished with sea accessories. On the communal used terrace you can overlook the sea. You are just 150 meter away from the beach. The building is in a very lively district with typical Spanish streets, which is the place here to meet people.
This apartment is located in a building which is just renovated in 2004. It is a very bright apartment, thanks to the large windows, which open to various balconies. There is a high ceiling with wooden beams, an authentic brickwork wall and the apartment is inlayed with a wooden floor.
This is a studio apartment divided into a sleeping area and a living area. The sleeping area is separated by a beautiful wooden sliding screen, and has a double bed. The living area contains a sofa that can be turned into a bed. The living room contains a TV, DVD, heating system, air conditioning and a beautiful oak cupboard. Furthermore, there is a wooden table which can seat up to four persons. On the right side of the apartment there is a kitchen located. The kitchen has blue background colours and is fully equipped with a refrigerator, a freezer, a toaster, a coffee machine, a juicer, a microwave and hot plates.
The bathroom has blue and white tiles and contains sea accessories like sea images on the mirror. The bathroom is decorated in a sea style, for which this apartment is famous. The bathroom is complete with a shower, a sink and a toilet.
Area description
The apartment is situated in the area Barceloneta. This area is famous for its beaches and boulevards which contain many terraces, cocktail beach bars, shops and chirinquitos. Barceloneta was heavily bombed during the Civil War and the streets which now exist were built on the sites of houses destroyed at that time. The district now contains many typical fish restaurants. Within 2 minutes walking you see the beautiful old rail station of Barcelona, ’Estacio de França’, with the famous departure hall. It is close to the largest park of Barcelona, the Ciutadella Park, which is an oasis of peace in the middle of the city. It contains gardens and fountains that are partly designed by Antonio Gaudi, some playgrounds for children and there are different things to see like museums and the Ciutadella Zoo.
The Barceloneta area goes from Passeig de Colom to differents harbours like Port Vell to beaches like Sant Sebastià and Barceloneta. Around the corner is the area called 'El Ribera' or 'El Born'.
