Apartment description
This 1st floor apartment is located in the heart of one of Barcelona?s most important places to be in history: Barri Gotic. In this area everything is just a snap away. The world famous ?La Rambla?, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, tapas bars and a lot of sightseeing are all within your reach (less than 2 minutes walk). You are located near one of the best shopping areas, Portal de L?Angel. Furthermore there is Placa Reial, a popular square just off the Ramblas. It's a social focal point especially at night and is often packed with Barcelonans and tourists who are soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying some food or drinks at one of the restaurants or bars that surround the square.
If you want a cosy stay and meet the comfort you?ve always wanted, you are at the right address in this apartment. While you walk towards the front door, you will pass a private entrance with a gate. Once inside you can make yourself comfortable in many ways. The pedestrian street outside the apartment is buzzing (brilliant for people watching though), but when you shut the doors you easily shut out any noise from outside.
While you are inside you will find out soon enough that the apartment is very bright and spacious. You will also discover that you will have everything you need inside this apartment. The living room has got a pretty large sofa, Air conditioning, TV, DVD, Hi Fi and a four person diner table which connects the kitchen to the living room. The kitchen is also pleasant and large, which is ideal for cooking, because it is well equipped. It has got all the standard things like a refrigerator, a freezer etc. All the tableware, pots, pans are also included, but it has more. There?s even an oven, a four ring hotplate, a microwave, a toaster and a dishwasher!
The main bedroom gives you a view over a nice historical passageway of Barri Gotic. In this room there is a large twin bed and you will discover there is also plenty of room for your wardrobe. The second bedroom has got one single bed, a double door window and enough space for luggage and clothes.
In the living room, the large sofa can also be used as a place to sleep for two persons..
Inside the bathroom you will find a full size bad/shower and all the general bathroom furniture (hairdryer is provided).
Furthermore the apartment has ADSL wireless internet connection and a telephone for accepting incoming calls and local calls. A great value apartment in a perfect location!
Around the area of the apartment
The apartment is located in the Gothic District, at walking distance of the historical cathedral and area 'El Born' with its friendly, excellent restaurants, tapas bars, arts and designer shops and small boutiques.
The Gothic District is one of the districts of the old part of Barcelona with its narrow and sometimes crowded streets and flavours of the past. In fact the Gothic District is located in the middle of a square shaped by Las Ramblas, the old harbour, the cathedral and the area El Born. Almost all interesting tourist spots are nearby your apartment, like the famous market "Mercado Boquerí¡¦quot;, the beautiful cathedral with adjacent monastery, the Picasso museum and the beach with less than a 10 minute walking distance. You will find lots of cosey little bars and street musicians, and the streets will be alive until late in the evening. There are very efficient bus and metro connections.
